Greenville Area Community Center Entertainment Series
The Greenville Area Community Center was built in 1976 to support cultural and recreational activities for people in the Greenville area. Its mission is to provide community enrichment services and maximize the use of community facilities through leisure, social, cultural, and educational activities. Fifteen to twenty programs are presented annually. Recently programs included Gordon Russ and the Spooky Monster Magic Show, Comedy dinner theater, GrooveLily, Gemini, The Tales of Hans Christian Andersen performed by the Ballet Quad Cities, Rhythm in Shoes, Legends of Yesterday, and Gratitude Steel Band.
Collaborators include Greenville Public Schools, Seiter Educational Center, Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce, Greenville Area Senior Citizens, Hans Christian Andersen Theater, Flat River Community Players, Big Brothers – Big Sisters along with several local businesses and community volunteers.
