Labyrinth - A Destination

In 2004, the community of Ellsworth built a 92 foot diameter, 2000 linear foot flagstone labyrinth in their community park. The labyrinth is ringed by 112 concrete artworks, each designed by a local student, artist, or resident. This grassroots volunteer project has become a community focal point, source of pride, and generator of additional development. Ellsworth's labyrinth is an attraction for community members, regional groups, and tourists.

Collaborators include Ellsworth Eagle Scouts, Ellsworth Senior Citizens, Lions Club, Lioness Club, Banks Township Historical Society, Charlevoix State Bank, Banks Township Fire Department, Ellsworth School students, Drenth Brothers, Cherryland Cut Stone, Pine Hill Nursery, Sawyer Nursery, Don Frosty (photographer), Willow Frosty (author/artist), and Leroy Wynkoop (artisan).
